What is Foundation?
Sometimes students have difficulties with applications: lack of the necessary entry points, language barriers which will not allow them to study well, or just a feeling of uncertainty. Foundation is a great solution for those who need time to fully adjust to a new field of study. This programme lasts only for one year, but during this year the student develops his/her language skills, starts to get acquainted with university life and gets acquainted with the future specialisation. After successful completion of the proposed program, the student can directly apply for a bachelor's program at the university where the Foundation course was taken, or apply to other universities;
How do I apply for Foundation?
Foundation applications to British universities are made through the UCAS platform, just as they are for undergraduate programmes. It is very important to consider that in addition to the diploma, recommendations and motivation letter you need to upload the results of the IELTS UKVI test. This test confirms a certain level of English language proficiency. The test result for Foundation programmes may be lower than for undergraduate programmes. The test should be taken in advance, at one of the centres in your city, so that it can be uploaded to the portal before the application deadline. College Bound experts can help you apply and prepare for the test. We recommend that you start the application process in May-July to have all your documents ready, to pass the test with the right score and to choose the best accommodation on campus;
